Everyone (I think?) knows the "Tom Cruise's Bomber Jacket" look from Top Gun by now. Can't say I haven't fantasized about Cruising around in a cobra in a cool jacket. Anyone have a go-to jacket they wear when they take their cobra out for a spin?

While we're on the topic... the footbox is tiny and my feet a comically big. Anyone have special shoes they wear too?

Attire depends mainly on the weather. For cooler weather cruises I have a favorite jacket I wear because it zips up to include the neck area, and the cuffs and waist are elastic. Keeps the wind out nicely.
The right shoes are important. You don't want to pressing down on the brake and the throttle at the same time.
I have a pair of narrow outer sole sneakers that I have worn for the last ten years, specifically for driving the Cobra. The soles are also quite thin, so I have good feel of the pedals. I just can't seem to find a newer pair that don't have the outer sole flared out, and feel clunky, and I would be comfortable driving with.
I will probably buy racing shoes to replace my old ones, as they are generally quite narrow. Problem is, they aren't really a walk around type shoe, so it would require bringing along a pair to change into.

I have my favorite hat and sunglasses as well my my Piloti driving shoes:

Like you I had bad issues with my feet not fitting. My right foot wanted to press the gas and brake at the same time and my left foot wanted the clutch and brake. The Piloti's fixed all that. They are also nice to walk around in and have many good styles IMO.

I have no special attire yet. But as far as the shoes I am a size 13 I have found these fit and work the best as I have been go karting around.

The sole is a little to the inside of my foot, but keeps me from knocking the brake. I have also heard puma makes a pretty good driving shoe as well that is pretty thin.

Yep. Those Puma's get lots of recommendations too.

For me, attire is weather-dependent. I have a pair of Head runner's gloves that work really well when it's below 50 degrees. The one constant is my hat. I have a baseball cap that I picked up at a Michigan golf club that consistently stays on, so it's my go-to.

...Cobra T-Shirt, Cargo Shorts, Top Siders, Baseball Cap, Done!

Its always pretty warm down here near New Orleans so cool cloths are a must.

No matter what the temp is, I'm wearing my Nike skateboarding shoes. Lets my size 13's move among the pedals freely. Especially in autocross (now that I've done it).
