View Full Version : Rear tires
So at spring meet I hit something in the road and ruined a rear tire, so to replace both rear tires I went to a local tire shop and had them order me replacements, I've been running nitto 555g2 all around , what they got and mounted were nitto 555rll , is this going to be any kind of a handling problem or just wear out quicker? I only drive on street no track.
Thanks

Like all drag radials they'll have softer sidewalls which may make the rear end feel a little "squirmy" if you're really pushing it when cornering, but for sane level street use you should be fine.

It doesn’t appear that you will have any problems with that combo, Nitto says they designed the 555 RII to complement the 555 G2:

I'm currently considering G2s in front and R2s in the back - how did you like that combination?
