I have a 5 speed tremac and want to know if I can remove the transmission without removing the engine? I need to replace the clutch kit.

Thanks.

It is very difficult, but it can be done. You need to pull the trans back, pull the bell housing and do the clutch, leaving the trans jammed in the tunnell. The other option is to leave the trans in the car and pull the engine, swap the clutch and put it back in. Whether you have J pipes or 4 ports makes that decision, with 4 ports no, with J pipes pull it. HTH, Richard.

I wouldn't want to mate the trans to the bellhousing under the car, with everything installed. There just isn't enough room to work. When my clutch eventually gives up I'll pull the whole engine/trans combo out, change out the clutch, reassemble, and re-install. JMHO, hope this helps.
