View Full Version : PS door poor fitment.

The PS door is not matching up well with the body in the dash area. Is this one of the common faults of the Roadster body, or did I just get very unlucky?
Also, the top seam joining the two door halves, do I grind it down completely. Worried I'll grind too far and separate the pieces.

Thank you! I see the doors in the video has the same "offset", so apparently it is normal.

Remember to completely flatten out the mold parting lines before applying any filler.

A friend of mine didn't and he ended up with the dreaded parting line ghosting effect.

Yeah, you really lucked out on that body for sure, mine is nothing like that. I used a 3" sander on the parting lines, probably should go back over with a da sander like you did. Luckily, I'm coming across the pond to your part of the world next Friday for some much needed Florida time. Since I don't have much left to buy in terms of parts ( need a new alu expansion tank and aa alu ws washer reservoir, suggestions appreciated), I should probably get some body work tools.
