So Oppenheimer made a comment in Whetstone's model thread about sight lines which got me thinking about how much I can't stand some cars because the A-pillar sits right in the way of your view of the corner entry.

For instance, in my wife's Honda Accord coupe, I have to lean a bit to the right for the proper sight line on any sort of sweeper or even normal street turn to the left.

Any chance that each of the folks designing their cars could provide an in driver seat view and maybe even provide a top-view with actual sight lights?

Just curious to see where all of the leading designs sit with this.
And whatever design gets chosen, if there are issues with sight lines I'm sure that can play into the final refinement for manufacture at that point.

The giant sized A-pillars are of course because of roll over requirements (look at old cars from the 1960's).

Low production numbers for Kit cars may make them exempt, plus the roll bar could make it redundant.

I'm guessing, but also guessing based on Jim's Model-4 that the FFR-818 A-pillar will be more slender than mass produced automobiles.

Don't worry about it and have a happy Thanksgiving.

I figured for those that have the full 3d model that it wouldnt really be much of a challenge.

I'm not so interested in the width of the pillars as I am the location.

I'm not so interested in the width of the pillars as I am the location.
The more the slant on the windshield angle, the more out front and in your cone of vision the A-pillars are. The arc or curve has something to do with it, but within reason, not as much.

I've lost sight of pedestrians, streetlights, medians, and even entire vehicles behind the A-pillar in my car. It's not fun, but I've learned to deal.
