Hi all.
My life has changed quite a bit in the last few years, and I don't see a time in the remotely near future when I'll be able to work on, drive, or track this thing like I used to.
I picked up my kit in July of 2014 with it at an autox in under a year and on track/legal shortly after that. I had years of tracking/autoxing/mountain driving it. I shredded a transmission (burnouts will definitely do that), and later blew a motor. I do have a bunch of engine/transmission stuff that's good listed here (https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?42569-Pearldrummer7-s-818R-part-out) and am happy to make discounted package deals. The car is street legal with a clean NC title in hand (and all the other goodies from FFR, like certificate of origin). It's certainly far from perfect, but it was a great project and is still a great rolling chassis. It blew the doors off of everything at track days and attracted some great positive attention. Everything that's on it now that the powertrain is out is track proven and has held up really well.
The rolling chassis includes:
-818R powerdercoated chassis
-White fiberglass body with spare new-in-packaging front fenders/bumper
-Clean NC title
-5 point harnesses
-Two Kirkey seats (and 1 Kirkey cover)
-Axles and spare joints
-Wheels
-Steering system with mods to make it way nice
-Aluminum LCAs
-Full suspension, including bump steer kit
-New Mishimoto radiator
-Street windshield and track windscreen
-These little side scoops that need a little work to make fit
-A bunch of new suspension bits/refreshed bushings
-Pedals and brake/clutch lines
-Clutch Slave Cylinder
-Knuckles with low mile bearings and brakes
-Dieted 02 wiring harness and 02 WRX ECU (dieted by me, documented here (https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?13629-2002-WRX-harness-pictures-of-each-connector) with a few more details in my build thread, also I'm an EE for what that's worth!)
-A bunch of random "stuff" you'd probably have to or want to do anyway (resettable switches for things like fans/fuel, battery kill switch, fire extinguisher mounted, etc.)
-A box of FFR related parts (from the exhaust bits they give you to spare lights to trim material to random metal that came with the kit that doesn't have a home)
-An 818 build manual from FFR
All of the wiring that I could think to label is labeled with where it goes. It truly just needs an engine and transmission and it should be back on track/street. I'm located in Asheville NC and am happy to coordinate pickup, shipping, or somewhat close delivery.
