I made a couple of lifting brackets that bolt to the heads (exhaust) that will work with an engine leveler. I first tried it with the intake on and found out that there’s not enough clearance when you lower the trans into the car. I ended up removing the intake and making spreader bars to make things easier. If anyone needs to borrow them please contact me and I’ll get them shipped to you. All I ask is that you pay shipping both ways.
I plan on using them over the next two weeks but they will be available after that.

How does that keep the chain off the valve cover's?

I’ll remove the valve covers before lifting.
The factory valve covers are shorter and may not be in the way.

The lifting brackets and chain spreaders worked out great. The install was easy even for a novice like me.

Jim-
Nice solution and an even better offer! Also, congratulations on getting that beautiful engine dropped in!
The engine lifting points look to be extremely well made, and a simple elegant solution. I hope it ends up well-traveled!

You can just thread bolts for accessories into the front and back of the heads through a chain link from the load leveler, can even leave the valve covers on then
