After two and a half years and a few false starts, my little one is finally off to be painted by the one and only Jeff Miller. Dude is one of the coolest guy to chat to, and has dealt with me for over a year now trying to set up a time where I can get my baby to him. I am just so happy it has all worked out, and was hard to see it go on the truck today for the trip from Austin to Temecula.

While I have not been the most active member of this forum, I have been a sponge and soaked up everything I can. I expect there is 50+ members ideas, tips and tricks in this car, and I thank you all for it. Now for the wait until I can get it back into the garage once again and bolt on the final bling.
thanks to everyone!

Michael-
Wow, congratulations! You must be so stoked to have Da Bat doing your paint and bodywork, although it must have been tough to let her go!
So, are you going to share your color choices? I mean, it's cool that you shared what's happening, but you didn't give us the juicy gossip that we all need to hear!
I look forward to reading some updates on the progress, and especially the finished product; congrats again!

Steve

I have gone back and forth over colours. Red, blue of course being up there, as they look awesome in both. But I wanted to look at more greys. Metallic, shiny and then what strip? I then found this from a member here (wareaglescott)

And that was it, Grey with an orange stripe. I am thinking more translucent orange stripe but still tossing up that idea.
Grey? Good choice! Full disclosure - I might be biased.

All of the vendors that support our hobby are a good choice. You made a good choice for paint. You will not get tired of the comments about you paint. A couple of weekends ago I went to a free autocross put on by a local performance parts supplier at Auto Club Speedway. Check out :45 sec and 1:37 for comments. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXH2j7X3EEY .

Michael-
Great choice of color; I really love Scott's (wareasglescott) paint! It has a really nice combination that really catches the eye. Then, having it done by that Bat Guy is going to make it perfect!
I am looking forward to seeing your final choices and finished product. I bet you must be barely holding it together with excitement!!

Steve

Mate, absolutely over excited. Don't know how I am going to get through the next 8-12 weeks!! But Jeff is sending me paint options now for stripes which are the next decision. Even something as simple as the single stripe, or double is got me in a knot. lol, I think I will drink a bunch of beer and deeply ponder it this weekend.

I remember the feeling of leaving the object of so much time and effort in his very capable hands. Don't worry at all. He will send you progress update pictures. In my experience, nothing happened for a few weeks, then BAM! I started getting new pictures every few days as mine came up to the front of the line.

Michael,
You might want to bring these for Mr Miller for the hand off just in case that was a large bottle he was deep into.

All the praise for Jeff are giving him a big head. When he paints the head will bobble. LOL
