Hello all,

I am at the point of dropping my Gen 3 Coyote into my Mark IV & would like to take the chassis off the dolly it is on and do this on the ground with the cars rear end a little higher.

Here is my problem: while my rear tires came, Nitto 315 x17 ", the front one's are still on backorder and won't be shipped until May.

So I was thinking of going to a junk yard & buying a couple of the cheapest tires & rims that hold air & will fit. I have the red Wilwood calipers so not sure if this would preclude me from using an old pair of Mustang steel rims?

Again, this just to put the car on the ground.... Maybe a little go carting, but very, very little..

Thanks all,
Ray

Should be able to use any 5"x4.5" rim that will clear your brake calipers.

Thanks Papa. But must be Ford rims?

likely need to be 17 inch or more and maybe spares would work and mount backwards to get more brake clearance?

If your just going to roll it around the garage you can use a couple of temporary spares and put them on backward to clear your brakes. They typicaly have multiple bolt patterns in the rim that will fit most US built cars. I have used them for this purpose in the past.

I just bought some ‘06 17” off fb for $50 with tires on them and they fit perfect with wilwoods. I got them for the same reason. Good luck dropping it in, it was definitely and experience.

Hi Guys,
Thank you all very much for your help and input.
One of these solutions will be used, depending on the local Junkyard's inventory.
