I visited the car at Performance Auto last Friday and took some pictures. It's getting close and I hope to have it back in a few weeks. The last shot is a test panel for the colors. We don't like the stripe, but are keeping the root beer base color. What do you think?

Hard to tell from the picture, but it looks good to me.

Looks like great progress, seeing it come together in paint is one of the most exciting parts of the build, congrats!!

Jeff, I got a good look at your color last week when I was there and it's going to look fantastic. I would think a darker stripe would look good IMHO... Chuck

We like the root beer color, but Deb is wanting a black ghost stripe. Is your car the red repaint?

I went to Performance Auto again this past Saturday and have another update. The body is on the frame to check final fit and we had a few more stripe colors to look at. The car actually looks like a car with the body and windshield on. This is getting exciting. There is a big problem with the trunk lid that dampened spirits some. The lid is twisted and also has cracks in the gel coat all the way to the fiberglass. Performance Auto said it isn't repairable and will need to be replaced. They are working with Factory Five to get a replacement. Well here are pictures of the body and stripe choices. What do you think?

Definitely the black, I think its a better compliment to the heavy metallic.

Deb is leaning toward the darker of the two root beer colored stripes. I was impressed with how smooth the paint was. I couldn't feel any of the stripes. It was like glass. Joey knows how to lay down the paint.

I like the lighter color but thats just me. Your the one who has to like it.
