I have the Gas-N 304 stainless pipes (non polished) and I am just not a chrome/polished SS guy. Thinking of going with cerakote silver on them. Anyone have any pros/cons on using cerekote on the side pipes. Also as I was searching for dayontas with silver side pipes a pic of these sidepipes (https://spintechmufflers.com/factory-5-daytona-coupe-5-oval-side-pipes-matching-pair/) came up which went to their web site, interesting

Thanks,

Kerry

Lots of different exhaust coatings and processes out there.
You could even go old school, and do like Shelby did, and use VHT on them.

You could bead blast them. Should turn out as a matte grey but I'd test before committing to the whole pipe. Very "racer" looking and easy to redo.

From my experience silver ceramic turns matte grey after a while. Not sure what happens with Cerakote.

Kerry,
I had ceramic coated silver on my Coupe many years ago. They flattened out to a grey within a year and a couple of thousand miles. Car was dark grey black stripes. Bought another set had the ceramic coated then flat black finish. I’m not familiar with Cerakote. Don’t have photos of the car with silver

You could just get them polished, at the very least that is a very renewable solution, can be re-polished over and over.
