I am getting ready to send the exhaust and headers out for ceramic coating. I am looking for some guidance
1) I am thinking the exhaust will be a matte black to match the powder coated roll bars (from Factory Five standard powder coat), but I am not convinced I want the headers and collector that color as well. If I wanted the collector and header a different color would any part of the collector be visible outside the body?
2) the welds on the unfinished exhaust are pretty rough. Has anyone tried blending these smooth? Mine have some high and low spots. The high spots I planned on grinding/sanding down but the low spots would be left alone. My fear is you would see irregular patterns through the ceramic coating (smooth sanded areas and low areas with “weld swirls”). How have others addressed this.
