Anyone order and install the FFR option "Roadster Sound Insulation Kit"? (16979) Does it just provide sound insulation or does it double act for both Sound and Heat protection? If it is just sound insulation what do you recommend for heat protection?

Hi Goose. I recommend a product that will do both to reduce the amount of installation labor. I used ThermoTec, but there are many other options (e.g. Kilmat), and even spray-on options such as Lizard skin.

Yeah those seem like the best options and what most people use, just curious if anyone has tried out the one FactoryFive provides.

I always chuckle when I see "sound insulation" for a Cobra. Between the open top, fat tires, and sidepipes I think there's not much sound suppression you're going to do:)

Mike, "sound insulation" in this case refers primarily to eliminating the tinny-sounding resonance of bare aluminum panels. It gives the car an overall more solid sound and feel.

With the ringing in my ears nothing is going to help! LOL
