There will be leather diamond stitch over the console but for now I got the cup holders in.

Where can you get those?

I saw TacoJoe on YouTube do those and might add them to the build also.

You can get them on Amazon search for boat drink holders. Hoping to get mine installed on Sunday.

Nice. What diameter did you choose?

Nice. I put mine in the back because my hard drinking days are behind me. :D.

That will depend largely on your transmission. For my T5, I used these: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00911UX6A/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1. It took some careful marking to make sure I didn't hit the transmission framing. See post #352 of my build log to see how I did it.

I got mine at a marine supply store. They have a smaller diameter area at the bottom that fits a standard pop can perfectly. Had to take the drain hose connections off the bottom to clear the T5 transmission. Be advised that top heavy items in the cup holder can depart the vehicle during a good launch.

I've been playing with spots with velco on cupholders. Still have not found a happy spot. In front of the shifter I find they are in the way when I shift to first and third. If I put them behind it annoys where my right elbow is and I cannot reach my cup. My next thought is to do pop-out cup holders under the dash and offset them toward the passenger side. That said, so far the best cup holder has been my wife, my 14 year old and my 11 year old :-)

I really really like my magnetic cup holders.

No holes to cut

No visible cup holders when you want a clean transmission top

No problems with the holders moving when they are not supposed to.

No one knows you have them until you have them.

I plan to get his under dash ones. Especially since I almost live within walking distance to his shop.

Thanks, so 4” diameter. I’ve got 3.5in that I may install, they look big uninstalled, so was curious what size others are using.

Running a T5, was also thinking about putting them front / back, rather than side to side, if they’ll clear the T5.

Just remember that under the cover there is some framing. I actually did my initial measurements under the car and then did the finer measurements and cut the holes.

Great minds think alike. I made a cardboard template first and mocked up using this. Marked the tunnel crossmember location on the underside then drew my cutouts so they were symmetric and cleared the frame. Then transferred the hole location to my tunnel cover. 163875163876

Consider applying heat insulation around the outside of the cup holder under the tunnel top to keep your drinks from being heated by all the hot things down there. Worked great for me.

I've heard that the cup holders are really beverage warmers anyway.

I have a pair of cupholders that I decided not to use. See photos attached. Stainless steel. 3.3 In high, 3.6 in OD, 4.2 in flange. Free, just pay shipping.

You can also look up "poker table cup holders".

Here is my advice.
Figure out what you favorite cup in the Cobra is, and get holders that fit. If they are too big, the last thing that you want is a cup or water bottle getting under your pedals during hard cornering. A minor aggravation would be spilling your drink in the car. If you go magnetic, velcro, or bubble gum mounted holders, again make sure that they could never end up in the footwell.

They have insulated cups that will keep your drink nice and cold.

I use a magnet with 55 lb pull,... attached to a yeti cup....Yes, it is insulated, fits a standard water bottle, and does not move even when running an auto-x.
