Has anyone on the forum used one….specifically on the standard truck radiator and grille?

And a subset question…anyone fit it to their pickup once completed?

All responses helpful.

Thanks!
Pat

Yes I did in Chassis #4.

See post #103. You have to modify it a little bit. However it work great! Don't forget to install the block off plate below the radiator to prevent recycle of hot air.

Update…

I placed my order with Mike today. BTW…a seems like a very nice guy and quick to respond. 10/10!

Will post further updates in about two weeks as that is when I expect it to arrive.

Howdy All:

The fan shroud arrived today via Canada Post as requested.

Two thumbs up to Mike…I didn’t need to pay any customs, GST or duty at my door. Thank you sir!! You seem to completely understand the difficulties of the Great White North. Eh!?? 🤣

As it’s St Patrick’s day…and my name is Pat…not going to do anything more today except a wee bit of celebration. 🥃 🍀

I will definitely say the fan shroud was super well boxed and protected…and arrived in pristine condition.

A 10/10 supplier to all of us on the forum!

Work resumes tomorrow.

So, at last I’ve gotten off my butt and (unfortunately) had to take the truck a little bit apart to fit the fan shroud.

Bottom line, it’s made for a different vehicle and radiator so modifications are inevitable. And resistance to doing them is futile…(where have we heard that before…?) because eventually I had to stand up straight and get going on them.

Basically I had to shorten the overall height by approx. 2”…don’t recall how much I cut off bit do recall my chosen overall height… 17-5/8”.

Will put up post modification photos on my build page. I will be mounting mine in a different fashion to Wallace 18.

Bottom line, easy peasy if you decided to install one while your truck is still under construction. Doing it two years afterwards, in amongst the hugeness and plumbing of a turbocharged Big Block Chevy….well…not horrible but it was definitely interesting!
