Have the March alternator bracket and Fortes alternator, but the coolant pipe hits the alternator, can I just cut the pipe ? And reroute the hose underneath the alternator ?

How about a longer belt to move the alt farther away?

I went to the auto parts store and found a hose with a 90 degree bend that I could use.

Hope this helps,

I also bought preformed hose and added a stainless 90 degree guard that both supports the bend and protects the hose. I think the guard is a standard Gates part most parts house have them. Fortes didn't help much with that huge OMG alternator. I have a 3G 130 Amp that is much smaller on mine that came from dbelectrical.com for around $100.00 shipped. http://www.dbelectrical.com/p-4050-new-ford-mustang-50l-alternator-1994-1995-7771-afd0032.aspx $87.60 new.

Bil are you talking about the coolant pipe behind alt , I think the answers you got are for the heater hose off water pump. Call Mike he will direct you !

Go to your local Autozone and tell the guy its a long heater hose with a almost 90 turn. They are about $9.00 each which is pretty cheap for a molded hose.
