Hey All…..I’ve been perusing this, and the other forum as well regarding changing the wheel studs. My question is why do some builders change the wheel studs and others have kept with what is in the kit? Probably a dumb question with an obvious answer so thanks in advance for the input.

I assume you're talking about when doing the IRS option. The usual Factory Five SN-95 front hubs are SAE (1/2-20) studs. The 2015+ IRS rear hubs are metric. Factory Five provides SAE studs to change out the metric studs in the rear hubs so all four corners match. Factory Five provides SAE lug nuts if you buy their wheels. I guess some do leave the metric studs in the rear hubs. Pretty risky IMO to have mixed threads. Also not sure why some make such a big deal about changing the IRS studs. It's not hard...

I did go with the IRS option and now it makes sense. I opted not to buy the FF wheels but lug nuts are easy enough to find so I will indeed swap out the rear studs.

Thanks Paul, much appreciated.
