Just for kicks I went on FFR's site and repriced the exact car I ordered 18 months ago. Complete kit with upgrades. Before $28.560 today $35.670.00 All pretty much due to the Covid debacle. Sad times we are living in.

I just did the same and options came in $6k over what I paid at the end of 2018. I also got a $1000 credit for a fall sale they were having at the time. different times that we're living in...
Forget 18 months and it's just FFR to be fair.
There were items in my cart that I just hadn't ordered in various websites and I saw the prices change between the time I added on my cart and when I actually ordered. Sometimes as much as 50%. Painful.
On average I know I am paying 25% more, it is what it is.
(not blaming anyone. Well, except the central banks still pretending we dont have inflation)

Most persons want to make more and work less. That makes cost and prices increase.
Prices do not go down unless they have to to maintain sales volume.

And how much did your food or electric bill go up? Inflation is EVERYWHERE.

For years, I've considered selling my car and building another one just for fun, even though I'd build it about the same.
I used to think I'd be able to get $32K for my car, now maybe I could get $40K since the values have gone up.
However, my estimate to build a replica of my replica is now about $65K. When I went to the Engine Factory's website, I could not believe my eyes when I saw how much prices went up.
The good news is a Cobra is far from a necessity to sustain life, but then, that depends on who you ask. ;)

and don't forget, ordering even a year ago you'd have parts... paying is one thing, receiving everything is a whole different ballgame...
I started my Coyote purchase last April, finally arrived October, and STILL waiting on the ECU (3 people ahead of me!)
