I'm ready to replace my Simpson FFR seatbelts for a few reasons. Went from black to light gray color, expired date (Dec 2020), and the stitching/seam is so scratchy and rough, it wears out shirts. I wanted to go with the camlock style. I'm curious to see what others got and hear if they like them better.

I use the Simpson camlocks and like them very much. I used both latch systems from my days racing legend cars, and I much prefer the camlocks( I think they look cooler anyways) :)
As for the stamped dates, those are more for racing applications when they are under more extreme conditions- tension, sweat, temps etc. IMO, you should not need to change this out just because of the date.
Swapped out the Simpson harnesses for a pair of STV Motorsports 5 point cam lock harnesses. Portions of the shoulder straps are narrower than the Simpsons which I found made them more comfortable.

I use both cam lock and latch & link style. Latch & Link in one race car and cam lock in the other. Cam lock is easier and faster to buckle, especially for passengers not used to the latch & link style, but is not very tolerant of dust and dirt. There are many good manufacturers out there in addition to Simpson but I suggest you look for ones that are SFI rated. There are pull up styles and pull down (which appears to be the ones you're using now) and the pull up style sometimes work better with race seats.

I went with Simpson HANS-compatible cam locks. The upper portion of the shoulder straps is 2" instead of 3" so they'll work with a HANS device on the track. I also think this will be more comfortable on the street.

GOOD STUFF! Thanks for the pic's too. I wanted to see what a 2" vs 3" wide belts looked like.
The exp date (labels) is not a big deal BUT, drive me crazy when people see it they AWAYS comment "Hey, did you know your belts are out of date... is it still safe.. blah blah blah."
RJD,
How is the shoulder adjustment on the STV belts? Same as the Simpson or easier to adjust?

Here's some close-ups. I'd say the shoulder adjustments worked about the same as the Simpson's.
As others stated, the big plus is ease of getting in and out, and those 2 inch straps are much more comfortable. For passengers who are used to regular seat belts only, they are so much simpler than the kit ones.
I have no regrets - a great upgrade.

Simple solution, just remove the date tags.
Shame that Simpson didn't use a better quality, UV safe dye for their belts. It's absurd how quickly they fade. Planned obsolescence?

This is what you want if you are not going to run a sub-belt which can also be added to this set as well.

Read up on the 'ASM' feature and re-think running 4 point belts.

We have those in our Coupe as well. After having used the stock Simpson's in previous builds, these are very nice. My wife especially loves how much easier they are to use. Not cheap though. This picture during the build. Now done and driven for two seasons.

I recently swapped out to a RaceQuip camlock set. I like them they are quicker and much less explaining to a passenger. :)

I think they look awesome, but my son (co-builder) said they look too modern (saw it on IG). Probably works great for your build though

For those of you worried about the belt deteriorating, standard practice in climbing gear is to replace all soft gear (e.g. the stuff our belts are made of) at least every 10 years, and immediately if showing obvious signs of wear. So if/when I have 10yo belts, I'll be replacing them.

Thank you. Yeah they are a little modern but like you said so is my whole car. I didn't love how much red is on them and actually prefer this set of Simpson ones but they are not cheap.

I liked these NRG ones too but they have been out of stock.
