I am in the process of replacing my fuel pick up for an intank pump pick up. The in tank pump assembly that I was going to use is about an inch shorter than the supplied pick for my MKIV. Do you know if Ford had different length pickups in their tanks? I think the one I have is from a 4cyl or 6 cyl foxbody. I thought the tanks were the same depth on all those models. The pick up will probably work, but I fear I could starve for fuel when low and would like to use the tank to its full capacity. Do you have a part number that will put the filter right down to the bottom of the tank? Thanks

I also noticed that the supply tube is larger on the FFR pick up than the one I have. I need the larger about 3/8 I believe.

You would need the in tank pump for a V8 mustang. Alot of the pick ups that came with the complete kits had the sock on the end of them attached too low. Customers were having to break the glue and slide them up the tube as they were bottoming out in the fuel tank. If the sock on your in tank unit is sitting higher it is probably ok.

Best regards,
