Guys,
I am in Southern California to film the last day of the "Car Warriors" show. Last night the teams finished up side-by-side 48 hour builds of 33 hot rods. The guys are exhausted after not sleeping for about three days and non-stop work.

I've seen both cars and have spoken to both teams and despite the fact that a lot of the show MUST be kept secret until it airs, I just HAD to share some of this with you guys.
The teams have built two amazing cars. I simply cannot believe they did this in 48 hours! These are some of the best and most well-built FFR's I've seen! Seriously, even more impressive is that each car really does reflect the nature of the teams (East coast vs. West coast). The guys worked so hard it is humbling. I cannot wait to see the cars unveiled on Speed TV and throughout the coming year at events. They should raise a lot of money for kids with CF.
Each member of each team has earned a permanent spot in the FFR hall of fame! They have perfectly represented the incredible community of all of you!
I just wanted you all to know that in the long story of Factory Five, 12 customers have put another great one up on the boards. I am thankful beyond words and in awe at what these guys have done!
More details as I can release them!

Congratulations to both teams!!! Regardless of whoever "wins" the competition, you guys did us all proud!!! When I saw the list of builders, I knew you guys would be knocking it out of the park. ;.)
What's so cool about our community though, is that the talent pool is so deep that we could've fielded eight teams (or even more), and I guarantee there would've been eight amazing builds......Hat's off to all......Can't wait to see the finished product!!! Woo! Hoo!!

Once upon a time there were twin boys. Both strong, agile and smart athletes. Both in their starting senior year of high school. one a CIF champion runningback the other a CIF champion wide reciever. Both the best at their position. Both being scouted for a scholership by the college of their dreams. One scholership only. The brothers would compete against each other. One would win, one would not. Both boys arrived at the tryouts ready to give their best. Before they began they hugged and wished each other the best of luck and agreed not to hold anything back and may the best man win. Both boys did just that. With everything they had within themselves they performed everything asked of them. Both boys exceeded all expectation from all who watched and all who had the final decision. Their father watched the boys final hours of tryouts and couldn't believe these two boys whom he had watched for years hone their skills perform at a level he had never thought possible. When all was said and done their father wraped his arms around them and told them how proud he was of each of them. The two boys would not know the outcome of their tryouts for several very long months. When word came of which young man had recieved the scholership it also came with a letter of fierce regret that the scholership could not be extended to both and that the school had never seen two young men exhibit such equal talent in two different positions. The whole family gathered when the letter was opened, there was elation and tears when the letter was read. In the end not much had changed. Their family loved them as much as ever. These two boys spent fortyeight hours in the birth canal, one had to come out first, god help anyone who would try to separate them. They may tease ,taunt, wrestle and fight each other in love and and anger but don't ever,EVER! try to drive a wedge between the two or you will unleash a fury the likes you couldn't imagine..............oh! after they read the letter they went to a strip club (I put that in so you know I realy wrote this)........... The moral of the story is! Be proud of your family members (they are proud to be members of your family) Win or lose they gave everything I MEAN EVERYTHING they had to make you proud of them...........um..... win or lose continue to embrace them (I'm a hugger).....a.......oh! DONT ask them who won cause they really can't tell you..........and...........OH! OH! ALWAYS PARTY AT A STRIP CLUB NO MATTER THE OUTCOME:p

NOW THE DISCLAIMER. I have in no way written this in any fashion to try to secretly elude to the outcome of Car Wariors. If you chose to read anything into what I have said you are sadly mistaken. I was only writeing this so my brothers know how much I care for them and that we made dad damn proud. I'm tired, I hurt, I'm glad I was a part of it and I will never....EVER do that to my body again!!!!!!!:(.......and I have a man crush on Tony (baddabing) Zullo:D...........my spelling? YOU DON'T LIKE MY SPELLING?!!! Baddabing, take care of dis guy, yeah you should whack him! (Tony takes care of my light work these days)(YOU GOTTA PROBLEM WIT DAT) Hit em again Tony!....good man.............Told yous, don't mess wit me.

And for some reason he only answers if you throw in a bunch of Boston attitude and accent. Something like, "Hey Tony, how you doin".
I can only speak for myself but I felt like a supporting player to the mad skills of Tony (paint) and Justin (interior). Jeff (ManBat, paint) and Tom(interior) on the West team are true artisans as well.

Thanks for the story Jeff! It was a fun read, especially with the twist at the end. I'm excited to see the episode as hearing the bits and pieces that I have, it sounds like it's going to be a fun watch.

I just got in this morning from the west coast and wanted to tell you guys about the effort without disclosing the winners or picking favorites! First of all I was BLOWN away with the efforts by the crew at Car Warriors. Alot of people were not happy with the casting selection, timing and details before the show, but I can tell you that these guys, especially Jeff Allen and the producers and hosts, were great to work with. Ray and Brad were extremely talented and creative team consults. To imagine that they do this for 12 weeks in a row with different teams is really a ton of work!
Second I CANNOT WAIT for you guys to see these cars and this episode. The two teams went nuts and built some really amazing cars. I will go out on a limb here and say that the teams have put themselves in the FFR History books with this effort. WAIT TILL YOU GUYS SEE THESE CARS!!! Batman went off the hook wild and Zullo on the east coast matched him step for step with a whole other creative 33 design! The craftsmanship was top shelf as well and the cars are really fantastic.
My head is swimming with great promotional and marketing opportunities that can be coordinated in the year ahead... But for now I simply wanted to say thanks to the customer teams on behalf of my company and the FFR community. The two car warriors teams set a very high bar for all of us. I nominate them to the FFR Hall of Fame. Hey, that's a cool idea.
Congratulations to all on an exceptional effort and a truly high-water mark in the history books of Factory Five Racing. Just simply amazing. I'll let everyone know the air dates, but it looks like feb/march 2012.
