The "best wiper system" thread introduced me to a system I didn't know about.

Any recommendation for the "best heater system" that's better than the FF supplied one?

I live in a cold climate (my motorcycle has heated seats, heated grips etc) and am used to riding my bike in very cold temperatures and will be doing the same with the roadster. I do plan to have an electric blanket for cold weather (+ heated seats), but would like a kickass heating system too.

Sorry - it appears that I'll be replying to all of your threads today. ;) (still sitting here working on my first cup of coffee).

I can't give you an opinion on heater systems as I didn't install one, but I also come from a motorcycling background and leveraged that in planning my build. In addition to installing seat heaters, I also installed a DC coax plug (https://www.thewarmingstore.com/warm-n-safe-dc-coax-jack-panel-mount-with-6in-coax-plug-cable.html)under the dash that I can use to power a heated jacket, heated gloves, and any other heated apparel I want to use. I used to have an R1200GS Adv and had heated grips, heated gloves, heated jacket and heated seat and could ride comfortably in weather in the 30's, so I like the simplicity of this approach vs. installing a heater in the car. I wired the DC coax plug on an "always hot" circuit so I can also use it to plug the battery tender into.

I'd have skipped the heater altogether but a defroster is required locally for registration.

Since I am forced to use one anyway, I plan to use the best damn one I can find :).

It's an open car---any heat you blow in will leave! Install seat heaters and dress appropriately. I don't have heated seats or a heater but know how to dress for cold and have driven mine for a couple of hours at a time in temperatures down to 30 degrees (of for you up there in Celsius land around zero ;)).

I have the FFR heater and it works great

My FFR heater works great also, up to about 55MPH. I think of it like a solar pool heater; it gets you a few extra months of use.

I have the FFR heater and it works great. I have never had the control more than 1/4 open because the air coming out of the vents gets too hot. Anything more powerful would be a huge waste of time.

I have the Summit heater, and it blows very hot. Wife and I are glad it's there.

We use the FFR heater. We drove it for about 45 minutes (all below 45 mph) a few days ago and it was 35 degrees outside and sunny. We ended up turning off the seat heaters because we were warm with our coats on and the heater on. I'm pleased so far with the heater.
