All,
Have you received any of your recent orders with https://www.**********accessories.com?
I order prior to Christmas, paid in full, at this point still heard nothing.
I've called, left voicemails and also emailed on status update
Let me know if you've heard anything.
Thanks,
Matt
All other times - response time has been super fast with quick turnaround on orders
I have a lot of items on my list to get from **********accessories, but on cobratalk there are a lot of people (going back years) who complain that while they (eventually) get their orders, the communication sometimes goes dark for weaks or even months. This was an issue pre-pandemic as well.
That scares me from ordering, even though they have good prices.

Search "**********" there are several threads. He fell off the earth at one point and some folks even went as far as to issue a fraud claim and get there charges reversed. Then they turned it around and everything was shipping pretty fast. I am sad to hear its back to no communication.
It is too bad because they have some of the best prices and a great inventory.
I ordered a switch for my windshield wipers and received it today. The order was placed no more than 2 weeks ago. Maybe I got lucky because that's not a bad turn around time. Good luck.

I ordered some hood emblems recently and got them within 2 weeks. I suppose it depends if items are back ordered or not in regards to when they’ll get shipped

I recently threatened a fraud claim and was told that my order would be credited back to my card, that was two weeks ago, the tactic worked in the past but not this time. Say old story with the same old ending.

Geez, sorry to see this again. I ordered a few parts when he was having issues after he moved the business, received the parts quickly after a phone call. Seems like a good guy, so hopefully he can turn it around. Communication and transparency is key, especially when there are delays.

To be blunt, ********** is persona non grata on this site. We DO NOT endorse them as a viable vendor for our hobby.
Here is my last entry in the linked thread:
The long, ever evolving Finish Line saga...
Dropped from this site by me "for business reasons".
Numerous, ongoing battles for product from customers, as evidenced by this and other threads.
Spotty (at best) replies when queried for info on orders placed, as evidenced by this and other threads.
Ongoing, month's long (years, really, when you count up the multiple threads on the subject) "free press" via threads like this keeping their once-good name in front of new builders.
Well, that's enough I think.
We have several newer vendors who have thankfully committed themselves to filling the unique parts space we builders need. In case you don't know where the vendors page is, here's a link.
As of now there will be no more Finish Line discussions on this forum. If you have business with them and you get burned, don't say you didn't have fair warning. If you receive your items in 24 hrs after ordering, buy a lottery ticket, 'cause you are a lucky person indeed.
This thread is closed.
I'm going to shut this thread down too shortly. But this is a dead horse issue. No need to keep beating it.

I think you should have this as the last post when you shut down the thread.

Does any have a recommended source for original style shifter similar to the one at finish line?

One tip: I've made it a point to email and talk to vendors before ordering items from them. Sometimes you meet amazing people like Georgie (Gas-N), Mark (Breeze - I actually haven't talked to him, but have seen the activity), Jeff Kleiner, Period Correct, vraptorspeedworks, darkwatercustoms, drummermike, nosenger, herbs, forte, replicaparts (Russ T), Moss Motors, John (lastchanceautorestore), speedhut and several others around the world.
These are all vendors that I've had back and forth exchange with. I've found them to be extremely helpful and I am happy to hand them my money *even if I can find a cheaper alternative elsewhere* because I know if I have issues, they'll be around to support.
There are more (parts123, Acton Cobra) who I haven't spoken with, but I'll reach out to them if I need anything from them.
There are a bunch more I've been in touch with but they're not listed vendors so I don't want to break any rules.
I happily order small items from unknown places. But for anything more than a certain amount, I make it a point to talk to the company *before*.

I was just issued my refund, requested as mentioned above, perhaps a coincidence, but maybe the forum is being monitored and there is some value in keeping the discussion open...

Keeping ********** on our site via open thread discussions is not an option. I have no desire to keep their name in front of our membership, providing defacto free advertising for them.

I for one had multiple good experiences with **********, 3 to 5 years ago while deep into my build.
And I for one still would benefit from reading about others experiences, good or bad, with any supplier, vendor, or seller. The more communication and information the better for all of us.

6 months… no communication, no items. Didn’t even respond to the PayPal charges dispute. May-November of 2021.
Biggest thing I was looking for was shiny quick jacks (polished or chromed) at a reasonable price. Turned out, I could get my FFR steel jacks chromed locally for approximately what ********** sold polished SS for.
Lots of good places to buy from.

I for one despise business' or organizations for that matter, that fail to follow through on obligations. Whether that is for products, services or even a donation to a charity. Shows people for who they really are.
