My assembly manual shows the rear spindles being installed onto the outer CV joint then to the lower control arm. It appears that the hub and spindle are already assembled as there are no pictures or diagrams indicating this step. The manual does specify a torque specification for the hub to spindle bolts of 98 ft-lbs on page 148. This is probably a silly question, but how do i torque the hub bolts? I see no place to secure the spindle in a vice and the hub bolts appear to have to be torqued before attaching to the CV axle. I'm sure there is a very simple procedure, but it sure escapes me at the moment. Any help would be appreciated.

Also, the manual on page 131 indicates the center section bolts should be torqued to 100 ft-lbs; however, on page 148 it says to torque the center section bolts (front and rear) to 129 pounds. Not a lot of difference, but which is correct?

Thanks in advance for any help here.

I would bolt the hubs to the uprights, then install on the lower arm, install the axle, then connect the upper arm, then tighten the hub bolts, then torque the axle nut.

Is it possible to torque the hub bolts after installation on the CV joint? It looked like once installed on the axel, the hub bolts would not be accessible. If they are accessible for a torque wrench, that is great! Thanks again.

If the hub and spindle are already assembled, which normally they are if new out of the box from Ford Performance, they're already torqued and you don't need to do anything. Otherwise, I'd put the hub and spindle assembly in a bench vise and torque before assembling to the suspension. That's what I've done with mine. If you already have them mounted on control arms, just torque before inserting the CV axles. That should work too. Agree they're covered and not accessible once the CV axle is installed.

As for the 100 vs 129, don't panic. Get it somewhere between the two and it will be fine.

No, they were not already assembled, but thanks for the information.
