My son and myself have just become the proud owners of a Gen1 Type 65 coupe.
We live the Campbellville area of the GTA. in Ontario.
For many years we have enjoyed restoring and rebuilding various cars, but never a production kit car.
There is always a story with any car and this Type 65 has a tale to tell.
We bought it after it was damaged after the original ,now heartbroken, owner had spent over 12 years meticulously building this car.
It has mainly suffered body panel and cosmetic damage. We have a fair bit of work ahead. Luckily no real structural damage occurred.
Factory Five has been helpful , as was Ryan in Sudbury with information regarding parts. We are looking at the possibility of using a Gen3 front clip
as a possibility.. Dan at Factory Five felt it is an viable option but would require modification using an "on the fly" approach.
I am looking forward to tackling the repairs and undoubtedly be asking for advice and help from members on the forum with knowledge and expertise.
Thanks in advance for the queries that will be forthcoming.
