Hi guys,
I'm in the garage as I type this putting in the lower arms. The book says put three shims on the front connector and none on the back. No problem. Then it proceeds to say tighten the front bolt and snug the back but to me it looks like this will crush the frame mounts. It looks like it needs more spacers. Maybe they've changed arm ends and they are narrower than previous ones?

Any insight tonight would be great as I am Rolllllllllllllllllling;)

thanks

Jim

I put three in front, then filled the spaces with the remainder front and rear, but nothing is tightened down, will leave that for the alignment shop to do.

You will also find that if you adjust the rod ends in and out much the spacers needed will change. The last time i helped w/ an IRS alignment, we had the front mount point set up w/ spacers and they stayed that way. We did all of the adjusting w/ no spacers/washers in the rear so the rodend could slide on the bolt.Once we had the alignment where we wanted it we installed spacers.

Played around last night with my IRS. That didn't sound right :-) . I just bolted it place, as it will need to come out again when my rear diff gets here. Once I get it to gocart stage I plan to take it to get an alignment. I need to start asking around to find out who is good at this kind of stuff. Maybe ask the dirt track guys.
