Hey all,
(Already searched - a lot).

I noticed many of you get headers from gpheaders or Gas-n or other places. Any reason why you're choosing not to use the FFR Header?

I am getting Gas-n touring pipes and will be doing ceramic coating on the headers and pipes, so I am wondering if I should go ahead and get the headers from gas-n as well (they also have adjustable double joint now) or should I stick with FFR headers? If it helps, I'll need an oxygen sensor.

Thanks.

I've had my share and more trying different headers on my car, including GasN, BBK, GP Headers, and the new FFR headers. By far, the easiest to install and get pipes aligned are the new FFR headers.

I used the FFR header with ball flange. It was so helpful to get it lined up with the opening and they have a bung with a screw cap already welded in for EFI. Just got back from a 40 mile cruise just now. No problems at all so far but FYI I only have about 300 miles on my rig.

Gas-n is also using an adjustable jointed connection on their headers. Check with Georgie to see if his pipes can be used with F5 headers. (in my case they could not)

You and I have already had this conversation Zee but to reiterate—-you will save money and frustration by using the Factory Five headers and pipes.

I know :D. I need quieter pipes. No way around it sadly.

I'm using FFR headers with GasN pipes. Every car will be different, but I needed to add 1/2" of spacers from Breeze on the passenger side. Driver's side was perfect.

Zee:

What GoDad said! I used the older version of these: https://www.bose.com/en_us/products/headphones/earbuds/quietcomfort-earbuds.html#v=qc_earbuds_soapstone
You can listen to your tunes, phone, etc and they knock down the engine (and road) noise to comfortable levels!

Always with GasN pipes, one side or the other.

Or both ;)

Sometimes in multiples.

Are Boig Quiet Pipes still an option? If so - and if the fit is better than Gas-N - that may be a way for zee to get the sound he wants and minimize the fitment pain.

Thank you for your comments about Gas-n sidepipes and headers. Please keep in mind that when you buy any Gas-n products we fully support you.
As a builder of a Mark II, Factory Five, Cobra back in 2003, and having responded to calls from customers. I knew there was an easier solution to aligning the sidepipes. The results is the new Gas-n header design that has been used and proven successful over the last two years; Gas-n headers use a swivel, double collector that allows you/us to adjust not only the angle but also the length. The very cool thing about this design is that we can adjust the length of the collector as needed and allow for the collector components to be changed with ease, many times eliminating the use of wedges. This is made possible because we design and hand fabricate all Gas-n products right here in our shop in the USA.
If you are installing Gas-n sidepipes with Factory 5 headers we have your back too. Please, if you have any concerns about fit and finish of Gas-n products contact us directly, I guarantee that you won’t be disappointed.
In the meantime, good luck with your build and all the very best to you and your family! Georgie

I purchased both side pipes and headers from Georgie (Gas-n) because I just thought they'd "fit" better than mix and match. Although I haven't received them yet, George has been great to work with. I'm looking forward to seeing the brushed nickel look..... Now if I can find a good local guy to do brushed nickel on my Breeze roll bar to match.
