Don't think the battery will be going anywhere!

Oh, an Optima. Make sure to provide easy access for the jumper cables. Just sayin' ;)

Since I'm using EFI on this build I'll have a battery tender. I used an optima on a stock car I built several years ago, I wanted the AGM technology, AutoZone has just jumped into the technology, if this doesn't work out I'll try that one.
My the way Mr. Jeff what's your current backlog on painting? I really need to reach out to you and discuss.

I've had good luck with Duracell AGM's and not a bad price at Sam's.

Well done. That's where mine is also, optima as well. Yours is a similar, but better implementation. The negative is it adds a lot of left side weight to the car with no passenger in the car. On the street not a huge deal, but if you ever go to balance the car with only a driver, it will be tough to get a good left / right balance. I wish I could put the battery back on the passenger front. But, alas, not enough room. I'm looking into other options.

This one is built as a show car/road driver. If this was a race build there's a whole lotta things I'd do different. Capt. B

That does look secure! I used to love Optima batteries but the last couple I had failed too soon. For my upcoming Cobra I'm going with a regular AGM battery from O'Reilly. Optima does make a great charger/maintainer for AGM batteries though.

That looks real nice. be sure to have some kind of a insulation over the positive post, just in case... I use the O'reilly AGM battery and have never had any kind of a problem with power. Even after long term parking (whatever that means)
