Hello everyone, new guy from eastern North Carolina checking in. Been a lifelong dream to build a FFR, and it looks like things might be lining up for placing a Coupe order this fall once I retire from the Corps. In the beginning stages of researching here and other sites for a street/autocross/HPDE build. Current dream list utilizing majority new parts is:
-Coyote, wet sump w/accumulator, Tilton clutch & TOB, T-56, IRS, T2R, engine/steering/transmission/differential coolers on thermostats
-Power brakes (unsure vacuum or hydro), AP racing calipers w/ coolers, 4 channel ABS, apex wheels
-Motec ECU w/display, push button start (possibly keyless), containment seat w/ 6 point (probably too much to ask for in the coupe lol)
-Race nose, street spoiler, led headlights
-Going to go with a Gulf Oil livery wrap initially, until I can confirm that's what I want to paint it for good.
Been looking at the following sites, any others I should add to the list; anything that might be a bit more racy than FFR offerings or better fit/finish?
-Levy Racing, Breeze Automotive, Fortes Parts, Norcal-Cobras, Boig Motorsports and Iconic Parts.
I'd love to support the vendors who have supported this community for so long; I've been one-foot in for quite some time!
Looking forward to picking your minds soon!

Welcome and Semper Fi! I’m just outside Charlotte and ordered my MK4 kit back in November (July delivery). You should check out the Cobra Daytona Build channel, lots of good videos showing the process.

Other end of the coast, just moved from Jacksonville into the country, about 30 minutes NW of Wilmington.

Will do, thanks and OooRah! I've been looking for some builds to follow. So far, have made it through Paul's (EdwardB) build. Gonna go through Erik Treaves (sp) next I think.

OoRah Devil! I just joined the Forum and I am starting my MK4 build this Spring. I am still stationed at New River and live in the Surf City area. We might be able to help each other out with parts and tools.
