Hi all,
Has anyone recently successfully installed the Gen 3 Coyote pedal assembly into an MK4? I am having interference with the steering shaft even though I trimmed the assembly as the instructions say and have cut back the ear on the upper mounting bolt hole as much as I felt was safe. I'm using the Coyote mounting bracket that is supplied with the Coyote installation package option from FFR. I emailed FFR as well but am not sure how quickly they respond. Any guidance would be appreciated.

You will have to trim it more and use a bolt with a shorter head. I usually use a button head in that location.

Thank you. I did just try trimming it more. I trimmed it to match the bracket itself and yes it ended up hitting the bolt. I will try a button head bolt, but based on what I'm seeing, I don't think it's going to clear the bracket either. Thanks again.

I couldn't get the supplied bracket to work for me and ended up using it for a dead-pedal mod. The plate I made was smaller and didn't have the right angle bends in it. I can't see the right side of your pedal - you did trim that side of it too didn't you? Mine is a gen 2, but I assume the procedure is the same.

I recall having to trim a bit more that the manual said

I have a Gen 3 also. It is definitely a tight fit. Mine made it with more trimming.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I did trim the right side off. I managed to make it work today with the supplied bracket. A combination of Ffinisher's advice above of using a button head bolt and the advice from Dan at Factory Five. He said to loosen the firewall and pillow bearings and shift them towards the outside of the car to try and get some space between the shaft and the pedal. When I did both of these it got me the clearance, barely....I'm not sure two sheets of paper could fit in the gap between the steering shaft and the bracket but the shaft does turn freely.
