Door Latch vs Window on Gen II

The passenger side window glass on my Gen II hits the rod going from the outside door handle to the latching mech.

Is there a known fix, or did the previous builder assemble wrong or ??

I dont see much adjustment ability, so I am thinking I need to fabricate a new rod with a bit of a bow in it?

That linkage set up will not work on any GTM I've seen. The window always goes thru that area. You need to set up your linkage in a U shape....so it runs straight down from the door handle, inward toward the latch and then up to it.

Finally got around to this project and had forgotten the details of your solution.
Was going down a very wrong rabbit hole with my solution. It was a solution that was never going to be reliable.
Decided to double check your solution, implemented your solution, and now I have doors that open from the outside regardless of if you rolled up/down the window!

Now I just need to work with the window adjusting shims/templates I got from you to get the windows to go up and down.
