Gen 2 Parking Brake Relocation

Cleaning out some photos and wanted to share these before deleting them. I couldn't stand where the parking brake was located, couldn't reach it with my harness on, so I moved it. Sharing some photos of what I did in case anyone is looking for some inspiration. Wasn't hard to do. Biggest pain was shortening the cable. Tried crimping the cable the "right" way but it kept pulling out, so I bought a kit for 5 bucks from autozone that clamps down on the end of the cable with a screw and it worked perfectly.

Very nice. I did something very similar in the hot rod. I thought it was odd to not be able to reach an emergency brake too :D

Looks great! Can't remember, was the gen2 handbrake on the ground? Gen3 has it where you have it now

Yup, on the ground on the passenger side, out of my reach when buckled in!

Gotcha! I wonder why that was designed that way, seems to have plenty of room on the tunnel haha
