Front and rear suspension installed, man is it stiff.

Is having very little movement ok? When you push up and down on either end of it, it doesn't move much at all.

There isn't much movement so don't fret.
Even when your car is completed car, you won't get much suspension flex.

Yea I noticed that too. If a road is rough it will definitely let you know but when you are on a smooth road...... Feels like you are riding on glass.

Thanks guys. I haven't put much up picture wise on my progress. I'm about to catch you up and see if I've missed anything.

A double check for you. If you have the Koni coil overs, did you verify they were adjusted to full soft before you installed them.

The Koni 30 series is only adjustable for rebound which will have no effect when pushing down on the chassis.

Jeff,

When I installed my shocks, I didn't consider changing the rebound settings.
Is there any recommendation for street use that I should consider?
Remember I'm a street cruiser, not an autocross bruiser.

Steve,
With the factory spring rates (500# front/350# rear) go full soft. If you up the rates significantly then you would probably want to go up one click (I'm +1 with my 750# front/500# rear setup).

I took what was set out of the box, what is the adjustment proceedure?

I'll check and adjust that they are on full soft.

Awesome and thanks!

I'm assuming zero position for minimum soft?

I see that Eugene shared the adjustment procedure link. Always check them out of the box...although they are supposed to be adjusted for full soft don't assume (you know what they say about that ;)). I have found some that were not, as have others.

3/4 of mine were set at the softest setting (all the way counterclockwise, i think) but one was at the first setting. Not sure if it would have been anything I would have noticed driving on the street, but good to check while the car is in pieces.

They have things to "stiffen" your suspension. You just need to talk to the right expert. May even help the rebound as well.

So I checked the rear coil overs, both were set at "2", I moved them to the softest setting.

Reinstalled, put it on the ground and it was still stiff. I'm not worried, I believe I've done everything right I'm sure that it's just the racing suspension.

I'll check the front coil overs tomorrow.
