Just for fun I thought I would see if anyone has a MK1 dash laying around that they would be interesting in selling or trading for an MK4 dash?

How old of a Mark I dash are you looking for? I have one hanging on the wall from 1997. It was my original one before I installed a carbon fiber dash. This old dash was designed for the old mustang cut down gauges. Then I converted it to use the gauges. Would this dash help?

Factory Five will sell you a Mk1 dash with the hole for the steering column in the correct location, but I understand a swap is better for the wallet.

Possibly. I purchased an unfinished MK1 and when I went to install the dash I realized the cutout for the steering shaft was in the wrong location. I've been told it's for a MK3-4. The dash is set up with Autometer gauges which I would like to use. If your dash would accommodate those gauges then it could work in my application. The other option is to fill the steering hole and re-drill it in the correct location. The tach and speedo holes might need relocated as well. Let me know when you have an opportunity.
