hello to all - and a happy new year!
So - after waiting for a while for the power steering rack on my POL list, I went ahead and ordered a new rack from elsewhere (Unisteer 8010020). I was under the impression when I bought it, that it would come with a set of bushings - and of course it did not. I then went looking for the proper bushings, and I'm finding confusing information. Can anyone point me in the right direction? (and a part number would be awesome!) Looks like there are straight through, there are rubber, there are plastic, there are offset.......
TIA for any and all help!

The stock bushings aren't used. Normally the kit comes with plastic bushings and through spacers. Those aren't part of your kit? Coupe uses the same parts and mounting setup as the Roadster.

Hey Paul!
Kit came with the bolts, the through sleeves, and 1 extension spacer. Did NOT include any bushings.
I HAD ordered the power steering from them, but canceled that part of the order once I'd purchased the pump and rack from others.
The rack that I ordered from Unisteer showed up yesterday, but didn't have any bushings either......

Can't explain why you didn't get the poly bushings with the kit. You could contact Factory Five and hopefully get some. Not real easy right now though. I'm nearly certain they're Energy Suspension parts and also nearly certain they're these. https://www.energysuspensionparts.com/4.10103. Available lots of places including Amazon in a couple days. Not expensive. Another option would be the Breeze solid setup. Eliminates the bushing and sleeve. I've used this on a couple builds. The Mk4 is centered OK in my experience but this does give you some adjustability and some prefer the solid. https://www.breezeautomotive.com/shop/offset-rack-mounting-kit-for-ffr-roadster-and-coupe/

So the saga continues. Talked to Mark at Breeze (nice guy!) He said that he wasn't aware of anyone having used his bushings on a Coupe. I could give it a shot?
The main question in my mind at this point is "offset, or no offset". The offset seems to exist to lower the mounting height of the rack to minimize bump steer. Has anyone:
A. Installed the power steering rack WITH offset bushings at all?
B. Does anyone that has power steering with normal bushings experience enough bump steer that they are annoyed or wish they had done something different?
Not trying to re-invent the wheel, and yet - I really don't wanna have to swap them out 3 years from now either.... lol
Happy new year to everyone!

The Gen 3 Coupe steering rack and mounting are exactly the same as the Mk4 Roadster. I've built both. No issues there. I've installed the Breese bushings several times on a Roadster. For a Mk4, they usually end up at zero centering adjustment because the frame mounts are already decently centered on the Mk4 frame. I didn't install them on my Coupe. The stock setup with FF 2-piece spindles and steering rack extenders has basically zero bump steer. So that's not typically a reason to use them. People use them because they want the solid vs poly mount plus the ability to exactly center. You're not reinventing the wheel using them on your build. Many have used them. But they're not mandatory at all and I only suggested them as an alternative to the poly bushings. If you're not comfortable using them, get the poly bushings from Factory Five or the ones I suggested previously. Reasonably confident those are the same ones Factory Five supplies.

Perfect - thanks Paul!
It was funny talking to Mark, we both agreed "Just do what Paul did" Pretty sure you wrote the Bible for Daytona builds!

Thanks. But lots of great Daytona builds out there. If you want to copy mine -- Unisteer rack from Breeze (when he was still offering them) and bushings and sleeves that came with my kit.
