I'm looking for a good video/pics that cover the Halibrand wheel installation.

what do you need help with? there are left and right threaded center pieces/spinners. make sure you put them on the correct side. Tightening the spinners towards the rear and loosening by turning them to the front. Center hubs go behind the wheel. Use a piece of pool noodle or water heater insulation foam behind the center hub to keep the piece pushed out towards the wheel. buy a large O ring to hold the center piece in place so it doesn't spin when trying to remove the spinners. bolt the wheels on and install the spinners with some either dry graphite or spinner eaz lube. remove the set screw from the spinners as to not mar up the threads on the center hub.

The mistake I frequently see is that people think the “RH” and “LH” labels on the spinner boxes refer to right and left sides of the car—- they don’t; it indicates right hand thread and left hand thread. Right hand goes on the left side of the car and vice-versa.

Place the threaded center through the back side of the wheel and then hold it in place by rolling the o-ring over the threads and up against the wheel.

Put the lug cover in place and then thread on the spinners. Mine are hand tightened and that's it. Do NOT smack them with a hammer like the real knock-offs require. I also do not use the set screws. When threading on the spinner, they should go on by rotating toward the rear of the car (counter clockwise on the passenger side and clockwise on the driver side).

Is it an optical illusion or is the o-ring in the picture pinched (pushed through the hole with the threaded center)?

I know I tried using silicon to attach the threaded center to the inside of the wheel with very mixed results. If the o-ring is held firmly enough by the threads this would work to hold the center out so you can put on the spinner, but does it help holding the center from spinning when removing the spinner? The issue (I had) is the threaded center spinning with the spinner when trying to remove the spinner.

Once the spinner is threaded on, the spinner will bottom out against the wheel and the o-ring will be displaced/deformed to some extent, but it will hold the center to allow the spinner to come off. I keep a bag of the o-rings on hand and replace them if needed whenever the wheels are removed.

The Shelby Club Track Day regulations require removing the spinners unless they are safety wired to the wheel. Even with nylon tipped set screws my threads have gotten damaged over the years and require more holding force than an O-ring or Silicone. So I made these rings out of aluminum tubing with 3 cone point set screws biting into the wheel ID, and 3 flat point set screws pushing on the back of the spinner hub. If you have access to a lathe and drill press pretty easy to fab, about $10 material cost for 4.
