I know most have glued the Windshield to the Body. Who has used a Rubber Gasket to install the Windshield, what Gasket did you all use?
Thank You,
Edward

You have to no choice but to glue the Coupe windshield in. Using the typical urethane products and methods. It can be installed with or without trim around the edge. Depends on the look you want. Doesn't change how it's held in place though. I used the one several others have recommended: Flexline UM1913BR 19mm Windshield Auto Glass Universal Molding Flexible Trim Rubber. Available on Amazon. Perhaps elsewhere. Worked well.

Edward B, thanks for the information on the Flexline. Question do you wrap this around windshield then glue it to body?

It goes on the windshield before gluing to the body. Wrote up the windshield installation with some detail in my build thread. https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?26630-Edwardb%92s-Gen-3-Type-65-Coyote-Coupe-59-Build-Complete-and-Graduated&p=397649&viewfull=1#post397649

Paul, I have it in the back of my mind that there are comments on your truck thread about a cracked windshield. Without examining that topic I assumed it was your coupe windshield, due to previous comments about installation non-conformity and stress. If that is what happened, a caution seems appropriate.

Yup, my Coupe windshield is cracked and on my winter list to fix. But what caution? You mean toward the Michigan rock that rose up and hit it while were going probably 45-50 MPH? Nothing to do with the installation.

Paul,
Sorry, assumptions you know. I have had a Corvette windshield crack from rust swell stress in the windshield frame. I have seen discussion on this forum about having to force the coupe windshield to conform with the body.
The dots did not connect this time.
