We've had more than a few setbacks to our plan to build a FFR (roadster or coupe), so I am contemplating selling everything we have accumulated along the way as a package deal if there is adequate interest at a reasonable price. Let me start with the good stuff:
1992 Mustang LX Convertible
T5 5-speed transmission
Holley Terminator X
Powerdyne Supercharger
Cobra Brakes
Bullit Wheels
GT40P Heads
Roller rockers
TFS Cam & Intake
FMS Headers
31 spline 3.73 posi
5 lug conversion
The bad is a much shorter list as most of it has to do with the donor and won't matter once the parts are pulled for the FFR build. We currently have the dash off as we were troubleshooting an intermittent short that killed the engine. It persisted even after the change to the Holley. We haven't had time to further troubleshoot/tune, so it barely runs. The Mustang has more rust than we originally realized, so there is even less reason to attempt salvaging it. We started a convertible top replacement, but never got the fitment right. The synchros in the T5 should be replaced before adding the blower. The blower is missing a couple components and has not been tested yet.
We live in Wisconsin, just outside Madison. Ideally someone could show up with a trailer, take the mustang and every parts bin all in one stop. I'm certainly not looking to recoup all my money, just free up some cash & space to move onto the next project given our current very limited workspace. I would entertain the idea of stripping everything for the buyer, so they can take just what is needed for the FFR.
Amusingly this would be the second time I have sold off my old Mustang parts so someone else could build a FFR.
