Hello All,
Just cleaning out the trunk in anticipation of taking the car to Kliner soon.

Here is what I have in my trunk when driving the car.
-small tool kit with various tools, zip ties, rubber gloves, gorilla tape, fuses, flash light etc...
-large umbrella
-portable air compressor and slime filler
-jar of ear plugs
-Elements fire extinguisher
-several large truck towels
-Lo-Pro Jack with extendable crow bar. This jack is sick!

All this fit nice and compactly in my drop truck option with room to spare. Another great reason to do the drop truck option.

Lets see what's in your trunk

Not cheap for the Jack but its machined billet aluminum. Pretty bad *** and works great.

Where is the spare to go with that jack, LOL?

Add 2 garbage bag, rain suits, doubles as knee pads, or creeper.

On my Mk1 (touring, no competition), I have the RT dropped floor extended to 26" with a re-framed perimeter and the original framing removed. In the dropped floor I have my convertible roof. On top of this at the regular floor level I have the metal framed side curtains/sliding windows. Directly above them I have an easily removed plywood shelf at the same level as the forward shelf, going from the left to inboard of the RH aluminum panels, leaving the remaining height clear for use. On the RH side between the plywood shelf and the RH aluminum panels I have a scissor jack and lug wrench. On the forward shelf I have a skinny spare on the right and stereo amplifier on the left. Roof bows wrap around the left side of the plywood and across the rear.

Its a tight fit, but before I did all this I had zero storage when the roof was stowed. Now at least I have some storage.

And that's a camp chair next to the shoes, so tailgate party!

On the more serious side here are the contents of my tool bag. The scissor jack is just 4 pounds and cost 10 bucks from a junkyard. I looked for the smallest and cheapest cars to find the smallest and lightest jack.

The metal tube is to extend the lug wrench as the handle isn't long enough. The black, rectangular device is a Garmin GPS, which I don't actually keep in the tool bag, but never leave home without, especially when in the mountains. It is my favorite tool.

The only things I've needed so far are the fuses and an allen wrench when a visor came loose on one side threatening to damage the other side.

The tool bag's total weight is 14 pounds.
