my test drive with the body on and pretty much all buttoned up its super fast like a rocket ship i feel that their is a problem with the brakes and the hyd clutch its got to be the master cylinders not big enough ive got great brakes 6 piston calipers big drilled and sloted rotors etc but it still stops like a dump truck i think the same goes for the clutch its a 3/4 forte set up with a 3/4 master cylinder but its not pushing enough fluid i think not sure yet its very fun to drive though very stiff springs all the talk about the ride is right i rides like a go cart very stiff but super fast oh yeah the camera is my new gopro 2 hero its awesome ive got the roll bar mount the noise is the fuel pump ive got to work on that some how to

Very cool !!!!!! Wish there was some V8 noise rather than the fuel pump. Mine is also noisy, but may be not this much. I mounted it in rubber and also used some insulate material around it.

I just have one question:
Has the smile left your face yet?:)
I still think it's incredible that an average joe with skills picked up over a lifetime of working can build something like this in his garage.
All my best to you.

Nice. It would be great if the bugs were worked out of the camera. I'm sure the car sounds much better than the fuel pump.

I have the same Forte clutch setup, 3/4-3/4, and mine feels fine. Very linear and smooth with just the right amount of pedal travel. Maybe you haven't quite gotten it bled right yet.

Have the same set up as you including the fuel pump..3/4 masters are correct for the brakes..Bleed them some more OR you may have to mess with the bias bar on the pedals to get it just right..I have mine favoring the front brakes alot..Some have it in the middle..I am guessing that since it does not stop well is because you have the rears doing most of the work..Find a parking lot take it up to 40 MPH and slam on the brakes..If she spins on you then you have to much rear bias..Keep adjusting till she stops on a dime..I also have the Forte's external slave unit..You need to switch it out to a 1 inch..If you call Mike he suggests the same..I also have the A1000 pump..Yes it is noisy and mine is externally mounted..Do you have the fuel pump controller from Aeromotive..If you do not you will burn out the pump since it is running at full capacity all the time..I really cant hear mine since I have a 514 stroker in my roadster and it is plenty loud. ;)

its the aeromotive A1000 in tank pump their i think the noise transfres thew the frame to the roll bar which the camera is mounted to but it is the loudest fuel pump ive ever heard and thanks on the clutch and brake tips ill give them a try i think ive bleeded them good and im sure i dont have the bias bar right but but ive got more front then rear on it it seem like it has way to much of a stroke to disengage the clutch like this on in the pic below look at how high the clutch pedal is 6150

Plaster the tank with sound deading material. It might help.

You still have to run a fuel pump controller if you are going to use this pump for street use or you will burn it up. I called Aeromotive and they told me that.. Here is a link to the controller.

Also having the clutch pedal that high has nothing to do with the stroke of the clutch..I would make clutch pedal level with the brake pedal for easier transitioning and comfort..The stroke of the clutch is adjusted at the slave and the clutch fork pedestal depth..It takes a fine balance to get it right..I would call Mike and he will talk you through the details on how to get the clutch adjusted right..When you have it probably adjusted you will be very happy with it..

I am suprised more peple dont use the Tilton hydraulic throwout bearings. I was afraid to use one because of all the bad press on these sites. I found it very well built, easy to set up and it works flawlessly. I will use them from now on.
