So I know some others have asked this question but it seems the answers vary so I thought it would be worth seeing what people thought of mine before I started cutting holes and am beyond the point of no return.

I took a few photos of my dash setup - does this look about right? I plan on using a "hidden" fasteners so my big concern is that the lip on the body will be high enough to cover the entire upper edge of the dash itself. I know the instructions say to have the ends a bit below the ends but I would have had to serious enlarge the steering hole to make that work so I started second guessing myself. Right now, I have the dash positioned so the two ends are about flush with the ends of the frame loop.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You want approximately 3/16" of the curved tube showing above the ends of the dash.

Also cut about 1 1/2-2" off of the passenger side end otherwise when you go to tuck it in behind the door hinge it will hit the firewall extension and be prevented from going all the way in under the body.

what jeff said, and don't forget to extend the PS windshield notch in your firewall an extra 1" or so to avoid interference with the post. also don't make the mistake I did and bulb seal across that notch.

Appreciate the responses. I'll shift the panel down a bit and see how it goes! I was just a bit nervous given how much material I need to remove from the steering wheel aperture and wanted to make sure.

YUP ! 3/16. I understand the concern at the center but if the outside ends hold the body up it's a lot worse. The pre-padded plastic dash can be mounted flush with the ends...da Bat
