I have noticed that when speed goes over 60mph, my speedometer often drops to 0 for 3-5 seconds. the faster I go, the more often it happens. I suspect that this might be due to my GPS sensor being located in somewhat unfortunate location — essentially being partially obstructed by windshield frame. But it's hard to get there and remove it, so I want to connect a different sensor to my speedometer. Does anyone know where I can purchase a GPS sensor separately?

Call Speedhut. The antenna isn't anything special, but the connector to the gauge may be; they will be able to tell you for sure, then you can just buy any GPS antenna with the correct connector.

Have used the Speedhut gauges on several builds over thousands of miles. Other than a very rare dropout on heavily tree-lined roads, have never experienced dropouts anything like you're describing. I'd suspect something wrong vs. antenna placement. My experience is it's not critical. Including under the body in the area of the windshield on a Roadster.

Thanks, will do - seems to be the best way to proceed.
