Was wondering if anyone has installed a coyote 5.0 in an mk2 cobra. I’ve been wanting to do this swap for some time. Didn’t know if anything structural is different than an mk4 in engine bay. I hear a lot of talk of coyote swaps in the mk4s but not mk2s. Thanks

Wont work for several reasons. The biggest one is the steering shaft. I suppose you could relocate it but it would be a major job. Also the foot boxes would need significant reworking. Not sure about the trans mount but that could be a problem as well.

It can be done. Like Mike said the biggest issue is the steering shaft. It can be relocated, It's a project , but can be done.
I did it on one, rear trans mount is not a problem, just need the extension bracket FFR provides.
