I have a 07 Impreza non turbo donor and my fuel pump is shown

This is different than the one in the manual which I think is from WRX turbo charged. Mine has two send and return tubes on the top of the mounting plate instead of three as shown in the manual. I think mine are fuel pump out and jet pump in?

My questions are #1. do I need to come up with my own vent system?

And #2. Do I just leave that little plastic venturi pump thingy in place instead of removing it as in the manual?

Thanks

One is out the other return. Your vent will be on secondary fuel level sensor.

Mark,

Yes, you need to come up with your own vent. We have the exact same year donor, and after a few emails with F5, that was their reply. We left the pump as it was…IIRC.

I think we did a AN5, to a 3/8” vent line to a home made charcoal canister. It’s in our build thread from early 2021:

Yours is like mine. Unlike the turbo models described in the manual, the naturally aspirated donors include the fuel pressure regulator and fuel filter inside the fuel tank, so there is only 1 tube for fuel going to the engine and no return. The other tube pulls fuel from the other side of the saddle tank. It can be cut off as described in the manual and used as a (rather small) vent.
