View Full Version : Hawk Coupe hits the local Solo2 scene

Been a year or so since I brought the car out to one of the local events.... been busy building all sorts of cool stuff as you know - but as luck would have it - garage is empty and it was nice day - perfect....

Didn't do anything to prep the car other than check the tire pressures and check that the oil level was just above full.... that was it....

I would like to say that I did OUTSTANDING - well I finished in a solid last place...lol... but I left satisfied that I was knocking the rust off (shaving large amount of seconds from the 1st run to the 6th run) - the other thing that wasn't helping is that it was 70 degrees out - and turbos are way too efficient and as soon as they started to come up ---- it got exciting... so getting the car to be smooth was an exercise all by itself. Good news for me that in all shots I was focused ahead of the turn - so at least I remembered to do that :)

Looks like a good day to be ripping it around the track. Did someone else already claim #42?

yeah as my luck would have it 998 numbers available and we had 2 42's in my class - so I broke out the blue tape :)

Attaboy E! Double edged sword there; the turbos like 70 degrees a little too well and the tires don't. What can ya' do?

Awesome Erik - she even looks better in motion! Your headlights look wicked. After lusting over your specific build, I finally pulled the trigger and ordered a Daytona....
