Question on a fox body rear end-Mark IV 3 link

I bought a used fox body rear end with the quad shocks. I also boiught a kit to convert the drum brakes to disk and 5 lug axles. The question is while mounting the disk brake support, the one that bolts to the axle housing and supports the back side of the disk brake caliper mount it seems that the clamp interfers with the bracket that is for one of the shock mounts. I ordered a 3 link rear end Mark IV so do I need to remove that quad shock mount from the to be able to mount that support to the axle housing?

I removed both quad shock brackets when I was installing the 3 link rear in my MK 4. You'll never need them and they just get in the way.
