Giving a should out to my bro Greg at 520 Speedworks, here's the first stage of the dashboard that 520 is building/wiring for me:

Note that the pics show the speedo on the left and then what it looks like on the right.

I'm excited!

Personally would want the tach infront of me.

I’ve looked at lots of dashboards while at car shows, ferraris, lambos, Porsche, etc. and one thing was obvious. There are as many dashboard configurations as there are car builders. Tach on left, tach on right, etc. it’s whatever works for you.

Dash looks sweet, CaptB! I always love when someone "thinks outside the box" and the normal (by default) ways to do something. I vote for the tach on the left. I want to believe that if you know your own car, one can drive by sound, which I've done with all the cars I've ever owned and they've always been manual transmissions. I like to feel that the vehicle is not going anywhere without the drivers interaction. I suspect I'll adopt the same with my roadster.

What are your plans to cover it? I've seen the carbon fiber vinyl and that doesn't look to bad at all or even using real CF and hardening it on the aluminum skin. And of course, the black leather is always a solid win too. Silly question, would you consider a clock at the bottom? Just throwing out ideas. Keep up the excellent progress...
