I am sure this won't be my last post. I have to be honest, the inventory process was challenging. I found at least 30 missing parts, several unlabeled parts and it was extremely frustrating. On a positive note, I officially started my build this weekend with my son and we are making slow but steady progress. I am sure this will be the first of many posts asking for help.

I cannot find or identify the bolts required for the upper control arms. Does anyone have a picture or description of what the 4 bolts look like?

Thanks for your help. This forum is one of the reasons I decide to go with a Factory Five car. You guys are great!

Thanks,

Walter

30 missing parts is a lot. I've never had more than just a handful. Based on your comments, with all due respect, I suspect there aren't that many. It's true that some parts aren't labelled. That's one of the reasons an inventory can take a while. Ideally, when that happens, go to the part of the manual where the parts are used (there's usually enough information on the inventory list to know where to look) and study the assembly. Usually can figure it out and will be easier when you actually get to that step. I always tell builders, especially new builders, that time spent on the inventory is an investment that will pay back during the build.

Are you asking about the upper control arm bolts that attach the arms to the frame? They're pictured, both front and rear, in the manual and should be described on your inventory list.

Keep your inventory sheets handy to cross reference parts and assemblies in question. The fasteners should be listed with the major part. For my coupe, the upper control arms are in box 1 and the bolts and nuts are listed right below. Flanged head bolts, 1/2"- 20 x 1.75". hth
