Mr. Bondurant's school was where I first became licensed to drive competitively back in 1988. A nice man to visit with at his school and an amazing driver - even in his 14 passenger Ford Van!

I had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with Bob Bondurant several times. He was always approachable, personable and genuinely enthusiastic about our cars. A couple of great memories are from the times when he attended the London Show. First time that he was there he was on the street watching the charity rides and got in to take a rip down Main Street in John Spina's turbo Buick Grand National powered roadster. He came back and asked John if he could drive to take Pat for a run...John said of course (who's going to say "no" when Bob Bondurant asks to drive your car?). He came back and wouldn't get out! I think he wound up taking about a half dozen riders who got their 10 bucks worth and more! Another year he and Allen Grant were both in attendance. On Friday evening a somewhat impromptu gathering occurred with them under the tent. They answered questions and told lots of stories but the most amusing was about the race when they were both Shelby team drivers and crashed out together----5 decades later they were still arguing over whose fault it was!
I feel honored to have been able to meet and interact with him; my condolences to his family and many close friends. Godspeed sir.

I never met him and know him only as a legend in motor racing. My appreciation to Mr. Bondurant for the legacy which remains, and condolences to his family for their loss.
