I saw a quote yesterday that has me reflecting today.
Note that here in Canada we only observe Rememberance day which is basically the US Memorial and Veteran's days combined into one.
It went along the lines of "Thanksgiving is when we give thanks for the things we have, Rememberance day is when we give thanks for the opportunity to have the things we have."
We thank and remember all who fought for these opportunities and their families.
From one vet to another -- thanks Papa and happy Veterans Day to you and all the other vets here. And a special thanks to the families of vets as they served too; and in many ways there's was a difficult task keeping the home fires burning while we were deployed. God bless our military men and women who stand watch 24/7 to keep us safe and protect our freedoms. We are fortunate that good men and women chose to serve our country and stand between us and those who would do us harm.
